Ai Nagayoshi began playing the piano at the age of three and started writing her own songs when she was in the sixth grade.

At the age of fifteen, she began studying under Japanese singer-songwriter Mako Mawatari. One year later, she launched her music career as a piano-vocal singer-songwriter.

While in high school, she received the Excellence Award in the Miyazaki Bank Theme Song Competition and appeared in the television commercial for the project. Her original song "Ippo (One Step)", which she wrote and composed herself, was later arranged into a choral version and has been performed at school concerts, recitals, and graduation ceremonies throughout Japan.

From 2013 to 2017, she studied music theory at Voice Music School in Fukuoka, one of Japan's leading music academies.

In 2020, she successfully passed the audition for the opera "Anne of Green Gables" and was selected to play the leading role of Anne Shirley.

She also hosted the radio program "Ai Nagayoshi to Music♪" on Sunshine FM Miyazaki for eight and a half years until March 2026.

On YouTube and TikTok, she shares anime song covers, and her performances of songs from Pokémon, especially those associated with Ash Ketchum, have accumulated more than 800,000 views across social media platforms.

Alongside her performing career, she teaches piano, vocal performance, piano arranging, and music education through Onnō Eurhythmics, inspiring the next generation of musicians.

With a passion for connecting people through music beyond language and borders, Ai continues to pursue opportunities to share her songs with audiences around the world.
